What Is Jobcoin? A Community Built for the Future of Work
Jobcoin is a Solana-based community for people navigating AI and the changing world of work. Learn our story, the clock-in system, and what holders unlock.

A community-built movement for everyone the 9-to-5 was never built for.
Jobcoin is a Solana-based crypto project, but calling it that alone misses the point.
Something is happening to work right now that most institutions are not ready to name directly. The jobs that were supposed to be safe are disappearing. The loyalty that was supposed to be rewarded is being automated away. The people who showed up, who learned the tools, who trained the systems are now discovering that the contract they thought they had never existed in writing.
Jobcoin is what happens when a group of people look at that reality and decide to build something different. Not just a token. A community. A toolkit. A way forward for everyone who realizes the old system was never really designed with them in mind.
This is the story of where Jobcoin came from, what it does, and where it's going.
How It Started
The Jobcoin token has been on Solana since early 2025. It was originally launched by an unrelated developer, and a community formed around it organically. Formed by people who found themselves drawn to a name that spoke a silent truth about the moment they were living in.
On August 23, 2025, the current Jobcoin team completed a Community Takeover, also known as a "CTO." Two of the founders, Adam Roggenburk and Thomas Kerr, connected with the project for deeply personal reasons.
Thomas had recently been let go from his accounting firm, of which he was a long-time, valued partner. Not because his work was poor. Not because the business was struggling. He was let go after spending months effectively training the AI system that would ultimately replace him. He built the very thing that took his job, handed it over, and was thanked with a severance package.
That story is sadly no longer unique. It is happening in law firms, design studios, editorial departments, software companies, financial services, and dozens of industries that spent a decade telling their workers they were irreplaceable. The workers who showed up every day. Who adapted, who upskilled, who gave the best years of their careers to systems that would eventually optimize them out.
Adam and Thomas did not start Jobcoin. But they found it, recognized what it could become, and took on the work of rebuilding it with real structure, real accountability, and a genuine long-term vision for what a crypto project could mean for the people who needed it most.
That is the difference between a memecoin and a movement. A memecoin chases a narrative. Jobcoin became one.
Who's Behind Jobcoin
The Jobcoin board includes talent from across crypto, finance, and policy, including Cody Carbone, CEO of The Digital Chamber.
The team has chosen to operate with fully doxxed wallets and is the only crypto team in this category to have completed full KYC verification with Anchorage Digital.
That choice matters. Crypto has a trust problem that is worth naming plainly. Most projects are anonymous. Most teams disappear when sentiment turns or the chart goes red. Most holders are left holding the bag while founders move on to the next thing. Jobcoin is built differently because the people building it are willing to put their actual names and actual reputations on the line.
If we are asking people to believe in a different future of work, the least we owe them is the basic respect of being known.
In Custody with Anchorage Digital
In 2026, that relationship reached a new level entirely. The Jobcoin asset is now in custody with Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered digital asset bank and the same institution trusted to custody for the most established names in crypto.
This didn't happen overnight. The team completed KYC with Anchorage in 2025. The custody relationship that followed in 2026 reflects how far the project has matured, and earning a place in Anchorage's custody is not given lightly. Almost nothing in this category makes it to that point.
For a project built around real work and real people, this is what legitimacy looks like. Not hype. Infrastructure. And this is just the start.
What Jobcoin Actually Does
Jobcoin is not a token you hold and hope. It is a token that unlocks a growing ecosystem of resources built specifically for the person navigating a world where their job is no longer guaranteed by effort, loyalty, or tenure.
Holders gain tiered access based on how much $JOBCOIN they clock in:
- The Job Board. Opportunities curated for people building beyond traditional employment.
- The Community Forum. Discussion, support, and connection with others on the same path.
- Upskilling for the AI Era. Resources designed to help members adapt and grow in a labor market that is changing faster than most institutions can respond to.
- Red Bird Alpha. For top-tier holders, a vetted private channel where opportunities, connections, and early access are shared first.
The tier system is designed to reward commitment. The more you clock in, the more you unlock. And the more people who clock in and engage, the stronger the community becomes for everyone inside it.
This is the beginning. More tiers, more tools, and more utility are in active development.
Clocking In Your Jobcoin
The clock-in mechanic is at the heart of how Jobcoin works, and it is worth understanding clearly.
Holders clock in their tokens through jobcoin.app, a deliberate signal of commitment to the project rather than a passive hold. Clocked-in tokens earn Jobcoin Points, which are redeemable for perks including branded merchandise, with more redemption options coming as the project scales.
As of this writing, over 188 million $JOBCOIN tokens are clocked in by holders who decided the work was worth showing up for. That number is not a vanity metric. It is a measure of a community that has chosen to participate rather than speculate.
Off the Clock
In 2026 we took the mission to the street, literally.
Off the Clock is our interview series. We travel to real places, starting with Seattle, and ask real people one honest question: is AI coming for your work? No panels, no talking heads, no predictions from people studying the future from a safe distance. Just individuals sharing, in their own words, how the shift is showing up in their lives and their livelihoods.
New conversations release every Wednesday at 12pm PT / 7pm GMT across our channels. If you want to understand what Jobcoin is about, watching one episode will tell you more than any whitepaper could.
Meet Neo, aka Jobcoin Man
Every movement has a face. Ours is Neo, the Jobcoin mascot.
Neo is not a logo. He is a character. He shows up across the project's content as the embodiment of the community: serious when the moment calls for it, playful when it doesn't. He's the visual reminder that the resistance isn't theoretical. It has a name and a face.
You'll see him a lot.
What We Believe
The 9-to-5 wasn't built for you.
It was built for an economy that no longer exists, for jobs that are being quietly eliminated, for a relationship between worker and employer that most companies stopped honoring long before automation made it official.
The people who are most at risk are not the ones who were lazy or unprepared. They are the ones who were loyal. The ones who specialized deeply in skills that took years to develop. The ones who trusted that showing up would be enough.
It wasn't enough. It isn't enough. And pretending otherwise doesn't help anyone.
Crypto, when done with integrity, is one of the few structures that can actually do something about that. A decentralized community of people building toward a shared outcome, where the value that gets built belongs to the participants and not to a board room that will automate them out the moment the numbers improve.
That is what Jobcoin aspires to be. And the community of people already inside it, the holders who have clocked in, who show up in the forum, who are building alongside each other, are the proof that it is working.
Forget your 9-to-5.
Build something better.
How to Get Involved
If any of this resonates, the steps in are simple:
- Set up a Solana wallet. We wrote a guide for that.
- Already hold $JOBCOIN? Clock your tokens in at jobcoin.app
- Join the community on Telegram
- Catch Off the Clock every Wednesday
The resistance is already here. We're just getting started.
Welcome to the resistance.

I absolutely love this piece. It summarizes what we are about. We need to use AI to make this into a 30 second video clip!
